Update on the upcoming awarding of the Congressional Gold Medal (CGM).

The final OTA design of the medal has been forwarded to the Secretary of Treasury
Once the design has been signed off by the Secretary, it will then be forwarded to the U.S. Mint where it will be struck as a medal (this normally takes about 6-8 weeks)
Since this is November, that would place the medal's availability to the OTAs in January, 2007 when the new U.S. Congress comes into session
It has been surmised, that because February is Black History Month, the medal could possibility be awarded in February, 2007
